Sunday, March 8 – Art, Science & Southern Charm 🎨🔭
After breakfast, we’ll head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a visit to the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. Explore fascinating exhibits that span everything from regional art to cosmic discoveries. After a delightful day, enjoy dinner and another cozy overnight stay at our en route hotel.
Monday, March 9 – Welcome to San Antonio, Texas! 🌇
Enjoy breakfast before continuing west to the vibrant city of San Antonio, home of the iconic Alamo! Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy dinner together and check into our San Antonio area hotel—our home for the next four nights. Get ready—some unforgettable days are ahead!
Tuesday, March 10 – Exploring Historic San Antonio 🏛️
After breakfast, our local guide will take us on a city tour featuring San Fernando Cathedral, the elegant King William Historic District, and colorful El Mercado, modeled after a traditional Mexican market. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the tranquil Japanese Tea Garden—a true hidden gem filled with koi ponds and stone arch bridges. After dinner, we’ll cap off the evening with a magical River Walk Cruise beneath twinkling lights.
Wednesday, March 11 – Hill Country Treasures & WWII History 🇺🇸🌄
Today’s adventure takes us to charming Fredericksburg, where we’ll dive into the stories of World War II at the National Museum of the Pacific War, including the powerful George Bush Gallery. Then, travel through the beautiful Texas Hill Country to the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, where a narrated driving tour of the LBJ Ranch offers a glimpse into presidential history. This evening, enjoy dinner with entertainment—Texas-style!
Thursday, March 12 – Missions, Movies & the Alamo ✝️🎥
Today starts with a visit to San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, including Mission San José, known as the "Queen of the Missions." Then, we’ll watch “Alamo… The Price of Freedom” at the IMAX Theatre, followed by an inspiring visit to the hallowed grounds of The Alamo. Stand where history was made and reflect on the courage that helped shape a nation. Tonight, enjoy a relaxing dinner to close out a powerful day.
Friday, March 13 – Ranch Life & Living History 🐄🏠
After breakfast, we make our way to George Ranch Historical Park near Houston—a 23,000-acre working ranch that showcases four generations of Texas frontier life. Explore historic homes, watch blacksmiths at work, and enjoy hands-on experiences that bring Texas history to life. After dinner, check into your en route hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Saturday, March 14 – Cajun Culture Comes Alive! 🎻🏡
Today we head to Lafayette, Louisiana, for a visit to Acadian Village—a charming community of restored 19th-century homes that tell the story of early Cajun life. Stroll the grounds, admire the craftsmanship, and soak in the culture before checking in for our final night on the road.
Sunday, March 15 – Homeward Bound with Full Hearts 💛
After one last breakfast together, we begin our journey home. Share stories, laughter, and favorite moments as we reflect on all the history, beauty, and memories made during this unforgettable Texas tour.
FAQ about our Tours
What is your cancellation policy?
Travelers who cancel their booking at least 60 days prior to the trip departure date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 60 days of the departure date are non-refundable.
If travel insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation falls under the coverage terms of your policy, you may be able to file a claim to recover eligible costs of the trip, excluding the travel insurance premium. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy and consult directly with your insurance provider for details regarding coverage and claims.
I want to go but do not have a roommate, do you offer roommate matching?
We do not match roommates. We do have a Facebook group where you can request a roommate match and find your own roommate. You can find it by CLICKING HERE.
What if there is inclement weather?
In case of inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule the tour. Should rescheduling prove impossible, you will be fully refunded.
Are there any stops scheduled for the bus ride?
Yes! We have stops schedule every 2 to 2.5 hours.
Do you offer luggage handling?
Luggage handling will only be provided at the final destination hotel. We will not be providing luggage service at the enroute hotels.
What hotels will we be staying at?
Hotel details will be provided approximately one month before your trip. Typically, we select nationally recognized mid-tier hotels, such as Best Western, Tru by Hilton, and Country Inn and Suites, based on our previous trips. Rest assured, all accommodations are routinely inspected by our tour company to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
