Day 1 – Hit the Road!
We begin with an early departure as we make our way toward our first overnight stop. Settle in, relax, and enjoy the ride—this is just the beginning of an amazing week! Tonight’s dinner is on your own, so feel free to grab something that hits the spot before turning in.
Day 2 – Welcome to the Thousand Islands!
After breakfast, we continue north toward beautiful Upstate New York and the famous Thousand Islands region, not far from the Canadian border.
Upon arrival, we’ll check into the lovely Edgewood Resort, perched right along the St. Lawrence River. Take a moment to unwind and freshen up, then enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel. Spend the evening relaxing, taking in the views, and settling into your riverfront getaway.
Day 3 – Castle Day! Singer Castle & Boldt Castle Cruise
Fuel up with breakfast at the hotel—today is all about castles, cruises, and breathtaking scenery!
We’ll head to the dock in downtown Alexandria Bay to board Uncle Sam’s Boat for a scenic cruise through the Thousand Islands.

Enjoy a guided tour of this incredible 1905 estate built by the Bourne family. Explore its secret passageways, rich woodwork, and fascinating history.

Sit back and enjoy picture-perfect views as we continue along the St. Lawrence River.
✨ Next stop: Boldt Castle on Heart Island
A boxed lunch will be provided onboard before we arrive for a self-guided tour of this spectacular castle—built as a monument of love by George Boldt for his wife, Louise.
After exploring, we’ll cruise back to the dock and return to the hotel to freshen up before enjoying another delicious dinner this evening.
Day 4 – Boats, History & Local Flavor
Enjoy breakfast, then we’re off to explore more of the Thousand Islands region!

🍷 Thousand Islands Winery Tasting
This afternoon, we’ll visit a local winery for a tasting—sip, relax, and enjoy the flavors of the region.
Return to the hotel to unwind before another delicious dinner together.
Day 5 – Begin the Journey Homeward
Enjoy breakfast, then check out as we travel to our final overnight stop. Pack an overnight bag again for easy access tonight. Dinner is on your own—perfect for stretching your legs and choosing something that tempts your taste buds.
Day 6 – Homebound With Wonderful Memories
After breakfast and checkout, we begin our journey home—filled with new friends, unforgettable sights, and memories from your Castles of New York & Thousand Islands adventure!
FAQ about our Tours
What is your cancellation policy?
Travelers who cancel their booking at least 60 days prior to the trip departure date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 60 days of the departure date are non-refundable.
If travel insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation falls under the coverage terms of your policy, you may be able to file a claim to recover eligible costs of the trip, excluding the travel insurance premium. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy and consult directly with your insurance provider for details regarding coverage and claims.
What if there is inclement weather?
In case of inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule the tour. Should rescheduling prove impossible, you will be fully refunded.
Are there any stops scheduled for the bus ride?
Yes! We have stops schedule every 2 to 2.5 hours.
Do you offer luggage handling?
Luggage handling will be provided at your final destination hotel. However, please note that this service will not be available at hotels during your journey to or from the final destination (if there are any). You will be responsible for managing your own luggage throughout these transit periods. For your convenience, we recommend packing a small overnight bag containing essential items such as documents, valuables, and medications for use on these nights.
What hotels will we be staying at?
Hotel details will be provided approximately one month before your trip. Typically, we select nationally recognized mid-tier hotels, such as Best Western, Tru by Hilton, and Country Inn and Suites, based on our previous trips. Rest assured, all accommodations are routinely inspected by our tour company to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
