Frequently Asked Questions

🚍 Will I have access to the bus while we’re at the destination?

No. Once we arrive at the destination, the bus will park and will not be accessible during the day.

  • You may leave personal items on the bus (jackets, bags, souvenirs, etc.).

  • However, you will not be able to re-enter the bus until it is time to depart for the return trip.

Please be sure to take everything you will need for the day with you when you exit the bus, including medications, money, phones, chargers, and personal essentials.

🚻 Does the bus have a restroom?

Yes. All of our charter motorcoaches are equipped with restrooms for emergency use only.

  • We strongly recommend using the restroom for “number 1” only.

  • Any “number 2” will remain on the bus for the entire trip, and no one wants that.

  • We schedule regular comfort stops along the route with full restroom facilities.

Responsible use helps keep the bus comfortable for everyone.

🌙 What happens during late-night comfort stops?

After 10:00 PM, we follow a quiet-hours policy to allow passengers to continue sleeping if they choose.

  • Overhead lights will not be turned on.

  • There will be no microphone announcements during these stops.

If you choose to exit the bus:

  • Please get off the bus,

  • Take care of your needs,

  • Return as quickly as possible so we may continue the trip on schedule.

❄️ What is the temperature like on the bus overnight?

The motorcoach is typically kept cool during overnight travel. Warmer buses can make some passengers uncomfortable or nauseous.

  • If you are sensitive to cooler temperatures, we recommend dressing in layers.

  • Bringing a blanket or travel throw is strongly encouraged.

💺 Are seats assigned? Can I have a seat to myself?

Yes — all seats are assigned on the motorcoach.

  • Each passenger is assigned one seat.

  • You will not have a seat to yourself, even if your group has an odd number of travelers.

  • If necessary, a passenger from another group may be seated next to you.

If you would like a seat to yourself, you must purchase two seats at the time of booking.

🪑 Can I request a seat near the front of the bus?

You may request front seating; however, not all requests can be accommodated.

  • Front seats are assigned on a first paid, first assigned basis, based on the requests we receive.

  • Requesting a front seat does not guarantee placement in the front.

Please also note:

  • The front of the bus is often louder than other areas.

  • The driver and host must communicate throughout the trip.

  • There is increased foot traffic in the front as passengers board and exit during comfort stops.

For many travelers, mid-bus seating is quieter and more comfortable.

⏱️ How often does the bus stop on overnight trips?

On overnight Weekend Express Adventure trips, the motorcoach makes comfort stops every 3 to 4 hours.

  • These stops are often at highway rest areas, which typically have limited options.

  • Most rest areas offer basic restrooms and vending machines only, with limited drink and snack selections.

If you prefer specific drinks or snacks, we strongly recommend bringing them with you.

We also include a morning refresh stop before arriving at the destination so you can freshen up, change clothes, and get ready for the day.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Are children allowed on Weekend Express Adventure tours?

Yes. Children ages 3 and older are welcome.

  • All children must have their own seat.

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for supervision at all times.

  • There is no discount for a child’s seat.

Please note these trips involve overnight travel, late nights, and early mornings, which may not be suitable for every child. Families should consider whether this travel style is a good fit before booking.

⏰ What happens if there are delays?

While we make every effort to stay on schedule, delays can and do occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Traffic conditions

  • Weather

  • Road closures

  • Mechanical issues

  • Safety or law enforcement situations

Sage Travel Services cannot be held responsible for delays, and arrival or return times are not guaranteed.
